Complicating things by swirling concepts into PowerPoint slides (an agile leader I know calls them slide-uments) and pages of explanation may feel validating, but they are not helping your cause.
Simple is elegant, and always will be. Simple is not dumb. Big data, artificial intelligence…none of it discounts this fact, or ever will.
The other part of the simple concept: proclaiming something is simple, when in fact you have added all kinds of secret ingredients that no one understands, and when they do understand them, they do not want them. Custmer value is lost, and likely, a whole lot of trust and time.
You thought you were buying grass-fed meatloaf from Fresh Thyme Farmers Market, when in fact you bought a chemical sh#$&! storm, a complicated mess.
